skaa he/him Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) Greetings, powerful Shards, noble Mistborn, wise Elantrians, godly Returned, chivalrous Knights Radiant, and all other members of the 17th Shard. I am but a normal non-Allomantic skaa from the planet Scadrial. I humbly request to be accepted into your community... LOL, sorry about that. Hi guys! You can call me Francis. I'm a software engineer living in the Philippines. I've been reading Brandon Sanderson's books since around 2009, I think. Like many of you, I was introduced to him via Wheel of Time. I first read the Mistborn trilogy, which I thought was pretty cool. But it wasn't until I read Warbreaker and Elantris that I really became a fan. I've now read almost everything he's published so far except for Infinity Blade. I prefer his Cosmere stories, to be honest. I was "muggle" in an old Harry Potter online community, so I thought "skaa" would be the perfect username for me here. Hey, mundane, non-magical races can be awesome, too, you know! Windrunner he/him Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Hey Francis, good to have you here! Have you read Brandon's short sci-fi story "Firstborn"? It isn't cosmere, but it is pretty amazing. I hope to see you around

I'm much more into book series with complex plots, but I do know how to enjoy a well-written short story.
Tamzin Ashevai she/her Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Welcome, skaa! I'm with you on epics with complex plots, but I did enjoy the interesting twist at the end of Firstborn.
Guest Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Thread necro! Yay. I saw it in your sig... Welcome to Seventeenth Shard! Have an up vote and a cookie!
skaa he/him Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Get off my lawn, you young shardlets*! *shakes fist* *shardlet: n. a new Sharder; not a reference to Shardlet, who is neither young nor new here. Edited January 22, 2015 by skaa 1
Guest Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Don't take his cookie. Shut up, Slams. You have no idea of the tastiness of this spike cookie.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Did you just say that spikes were tasty? I suppose that must be true otherwise people wouldn't keep eating them. I suppose that they have a quick joy with a lasting enslavement to Ruin. Kind of like the philosophical effects of drugs. You are a traitor.

Well Arthur, we're coming up on two weeks of hounding from you.I do not see a single reference to spikes in my last post. If there was, perhaps someone changed it.
Iredomi Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The Anti-Bakery will put an end to this baking goods abuse! I swear! 1
Voidus Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The Dark Alley would like to point out that hypothetically if there were a forum wide group dedicated to Hemalurgic experimentation and the expansion of their power base it would be incredibly difficult to put an end to anything they were doing. All just hypothetical of course.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Voidus, that doesn't mean I will not try.
Guest Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Voidus, that doesn't mean I will not try. Come here little boy, would you like a copper and zinc spike cookie?
