  1. There's also a question regarding how literal the need to "breathe" in stormlight is. Could a sufficiently bad lung wound prevent gaining or retaining the stormlig needed to heal?
  2. Whatever it is, it apparently doesn't require Roshar's continied existence.
  3. What exactly happens to spren when their radiant dies? Because Lirin is certainly fit to take Ym's spot. Even comes with a past crime for the Skybreakers to obsess over.
  4. It's an open question whether or not the shards chose to recreate humanity rather than importing them, but humanity almost certainly existed before they were ever split.
  5. My number one point of distrust lies in the Diagram. They make a big point at the way his intelligence at that point is such an outlier that they are never likely to see anywhere near its level again. Or just as likely, such an outlier that it has never happened at all. I'm thinking that his condition has somehow left him vulnerable to outside influence, in the same manner as a stormform listener. The every other letter bits even remind me of her "screaming" while in that form. The big question is whether the influence is Odium or Cultivation. But since it instructs them to kill Dalinar only if he turns away from the path of a bloodthirsty warlord, and calls for him to sow destruction far and wide in the name of the greater good, I'm betting that the influence isn't benign.
  6. I wonder if he'll stick with in universe book titles as a theme? Stones Unhallowed sounds like it might fit the pattern. Skybreaker not so much.
  7. Seems likely, since it is just as capable of transforming listeners as a normal highstorm.
  8. If I'm remembering correctly, people from Nalthis could store a pretty much indefinite amount of breath in inanimate objects. Since he can apparently use stormlight in place of breath, couldn't he also create some really impressive stormlight reservoirs if the need arose? And what would happen if he passed his "breath" to a radiant.
  9. The quote about Zahel wasn't unexpected, but it was still a matter of some debate. Nice to have it cleared up.
  10. No. Kalak is the name of a herald (the POV at the start of WoK). Kaladin's name comes from his, in the sense that a Catholic might name their child after a saint. Shallan, likewise, is named after Shalash. The name might still be relevant, but it's just as likely to be a part of worldbuilding the culture.
  11. Assuming that's even something he can do. The heralds may have led the Radiants, but the spren created them, and it takes a spren bond to become one. So far, Szeth hasn't shown any sign of that. I'm in agreement with those that expect to see a "true" skybreaker before long.
