  1. Oh, oh, oh. I just read the Zahel thread. The clothing, the breaths giving sense of people around you, Nightblood=Szeth's new shardblade... It all makes sense now
  2. OK, so I read Warbreaker. Where does it say that Vasher is Zahel?
  3. THis topic is now resolved. Please feel free to inform me of how to delete a thread.
  4. [Edited for untagged spoilers]
  5. Remember how the Parshendi used the slings to crack Shardplate? Catapults would be a slower, more powerful version of that, and a large chunk of stone would, at least, trap them for a time.
  6. Or you could lug a couple of siege catapults over to the battlefield. I'd like to see a trebuchet get a direct hit on a shardbearer. Preferably by a Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith trebuchet. Death by wall!

  8. Fascinating... Imagine the possibilities of placing a written message or item inside a small metal cylinder and vacuum-launching it across a battlefield. Imagine the power of a greatbow fired by a Surgebinder with the pressure surgebinding. Imagine a Surgebinder creating a vacuum next to himself when fighting enemies, then slashing through the vacuum with a shard blade, cutting through all those sucked into that tight space.
  9. Sadeas was definitely a very good swordsman. Dalinar, the Blackthorn, greatest shardbearer in the army, thought Sadeas to be an amazing swordsman. He also cut down Highprince Yenev, who probably had pretty good training and equipment. However, he would be inexperienced, considering that he used a warhammer rather than a sword.
  10. In chapter 12 of WoR, Kaladin infuses the chasm wall with stormlight, then picks Lopen up and sticks him against the wall. The context clearly states that he is stuck to the wall by the back of his shirt. Now, unless we can assume that shirts have no holes of any size, microscopic or massive, no holes at the seams, etc, the shirt must, effectively, be glued to the wall. No vacuum could exist if the shirt had holes, which it must. Also, for the same reasons, it would be impossible for pressure to push it against the wall. Thus, the back of the shirt must be gravitationally stuck to the wall. It is not a pressure surge binding. Unless, of course, we are talking about an entirely different pressure surge than what it actually is, aka basically super powerful magnetism between not necessarily magnetic materials.
  11. The Stormlight would basically stain the eyes a lighter color if used in large enough amounts frequently. Also, the tradition that a darkeyes who gets shards would become a light eyes was probably made out of fear by the lighteyes when they first took power after the KR left them, because a lot of darkeyes probably got their hands on Shards, and when the Lighteyes took over, would have attacked. Thus, the lighteyes decided to begin the tradition. On a relatively unrelated topic, would everybody please now scroll to the top and read the heading of this discussion.
