  1. Thanks for the replies guys! Yes on the one hand it seemed improbable that he would focus on such a minor element of Roshar but at the same time it seemed like much of the first book was there to set up the war so I wasn't sure what to make of it. I will definitely be checking out those released materials
  2. Hello there! This is my first topic so I hope I'm not breaking some rules by posting it here. I just recently finished reading Way of Kings and, overall, I enjoyed it. Worldbuilding was great and there were some good characters. I especially liked Shallan and Jasnah and I'm therefore looking forward to reading Words of Radiance. However, I was kind of bored with the whole Shattered Plain situation and the whole setting and the idea of it just doesn't resonate with me. Not that it's badly executed or anything like that, I guess it just isn't what I like. So I come to you with my question: has Brandon given any kind of roadmap regarding the overall direction of the series? Do we know how much of the action/books will be set on the Plains and/or dealing with the war? I do t think I would stop reading even if he told me he is going to spend the entire series on that but I thought I may ask anyway Thanks and it will be nice to get to know all of you guys!
