  1. I just recently joined this site, so I apologize if there are already threads covering this. What do we know/what can we infer about the powers of the Heralds? Honor sent them to lead and prepare the people of Roshar, and they carried blades apparently more powerful than regular shard blades. It doesn't seem like they had a plate equivalent from the WoK prologue, though that's not really definitive. Surgebinding is a possibility, but Darkness (if he is a Herald in disguise) makes that far from a sure thing. And if they do, would they each get only one surge? The KR orders share from 2 different Heralds orders, so that would seem odd if their own followers had more diverse surgebinding powers than the Heralds themselves. Obviously they have some form of immortality, but we don't get much info on what thst might grant them. Thoughts?
  2. Does anyone know how many pages chapters P-5 are in the actual book? I'm not really complaining that it's available now, but it does seem like more than most publishers release ahead of time for a book...
  3. That is a good theory. That the betrayal the Spren were so upset at humans about is that humans somehow found a way to obliterate the individual consciousness of the entire Parshendi race (or at least a large portion that make up the Parshmen as we know them). If spren are ideas that need to be thought up in the physical realm first in order to exist in the cognitive realm, destroying the ability of a race of people to think up new ideas would be like the spren losing what is essentially a huge breeding ground for new spren.
  4. I really wanna see what Taln does. He could either start hunting down the other Heralds (either for vengeance or to reunite them all before the desolation) or he could start trying to prepare the people of Roshar for the coming Desolation. I have a hunch there are going to be a lot of people that don't believe him or try to undermine his authority. I'm assuming he also doesn't really know what has been happening in the world since his last imprisonment, so I'm really hoping that Wit takes it upon himself to be his tutor in what is currently going on in both Roshar and the Cosmere, because I would imagine someone like Taln would be a player in both.
