Thanks Peter I guess 9pm on the 3rd will have to do. There is no way I will be able to wait till my hardback copy arrives mid day, and I don't think I am in good enough shape for a marathon reading session for that behemoth of a book anyways. My arms hurt just looking at it, thank god for my kindle.

Only semi related, but does anyone know if I can change my amazon account to say I live on the east coast or in the UK instead of California can I get the e-book early or will it go off where my IP address is routed to.

I'm going to get both the hardback and the e-book. I prefer to read on my kindle because it is so light and comfortable but would miss having such a beautiful book on my shelf if I didn't get the hardback. Yeah I wish publishers would give free e-book vouchers w/book purchases like they do with blu-ray discs.

I don't know where to call this from an investiture standpoint, but I think in terms of the flow of the story it would be hard to make work. If ia shardblade no longer kills the soul of the limb, does it have no effect at all on surgebinders, if so it is somewhat worthless. But if it instead just cuts their flesh like a normal blade it would basically have the exact same effect since it would cut through weapons and armor with no resistance, making them more deadly because not only do you not have a limb but you have to worry about blood loss. Like the theory it just doesn't seem practical to the story. Because you are a guy with a cool sword and your wealthy, bored, stupid, curious, and feeling a little destructive. All adjectives that I might use to describe the Alethi upper class.

Hey joined recently to take part in the Shardhunt, thank you, and have recently been reading a lot of the theories on the site and this is one that I enjoy. I haven't noticed anybody post anything about the conversation that Jasnah overhears between Darkness and the Alethi looking man in the WoR prelude chapter. If Darkness Is Nalan or any of the Heralds like speculation suggest. This quote would seem to point to Szeth having an Honorblade.
