  1. Have you considered "Movin' Out" by Billy Joel for said playlist?
  2. Mistrunner is so utterly engrossed with Bands of Mourning that she doesn't notice the Marasi bookie she is eating is actually a Wayne bookie in disguise. Jasper is lying on the armrest of the throne reading a very tiny copy.
  3. This world should include fewer essays and more ice cream.

Lets start a movement, one that shall destroy essays!

      Or something like that.

I can agree with that, definitely. Seeing as I'm writing an essay now. Or I'm supposed to.

  4. Three questions. One, why have you been neglecting poor California? I realize with the El Niño you've given it some, but still, reservoirs are barely above half capacity. It's gotten lonely, seeing all those other states with their blizzards and rainstorms and floods. And two, are you Hydra? Three, I do have to say I'm a huge fan of yours. Your work is just so refreshing. Keep up the good work, Water. Can I call you H2O?
  5. Having to write an outline using an outline for yet another paper. Is this all we're going to do in this class? Besides, the outline doesn't work. Period. Two possibilities were provided this time, but neither of them fit my purposes. I'm refuting the claim that music programs cost too much by comparing the costs to those of programs schools implement (AVID, sports, etc). Pretty simple, right? Some people say music programs cost too much. Well, here's the costs of that and other common school programs side-by-side. Well that ain't an option. The format must be obeyed, and I can either try to fit it awkwardly in the middle of a paragraph somehow or smush it into the ending paragraph. THERE'S MORE THAN TWO WAYS TO WRITE A PAPER, DARN IT.
  6. And I'm apparently a right authoritarian, but very close to the axis.
  7. I know I'm a bit late, but Twi, for fantastic beasts of America left out of the book, there's the Thunderbird from Pacific northwestern Native American mythology. Bringer of storms. Super awesome. There's a whole lot of Native American mythology that could be incorporated into the Potterverse, really. It's a shame there aren't more books with them included.
  8. The Hawkeye Initiative has gone live. And while I'm looking at random Avengers stuff...
  9. Yaay! Welcome back, WayneSpren! You were missed. Now, what would you like to say now that you are officially back in this crazy place?
  10. We shall be reading more of Wayne's exploits very soon! Hoo-rah! Also, I was very disappointed in the lack of Wayne in the SoS and BoM covers. But then I realized. He's disguised as Marasi and Steris.
  11. This is a bit late, but I had stuff. Well, Imperial is basically created for estimations. It's simple. Sure, it ain't simple to convert. It's just easier to estimate with. It's based on relative distance, basically. Did I mention I'm terrible at explanations? Also, a main argument seems to be "you're just used to it". This is true. We are used to our system in the same way other countries are used to metrics. It doesn't mean one system is better than the other. Sorta like the neverending argument about British vs. American spellings. It's not like one is correct and the other is wrong. They're just different. (Also, as an interesting side note, did you know that a factor in the American spellings usually having fewer letters- humor instead of humour, flavor instead of flavour- was the cost of printing? Fewer letters meant less money. Random fact of the day.) In other news, BANDS OF MOURNING COMES OUT TOMORROW!!! Edit: Oh! And while we're on the topic, how about some very factual absolutely accurate American History as reenacted by Studio C?
  12. Allomantist ([reference] can I call you Al? [/reference]) is accepted into the Order of the Knights Awkward. Ally is stared at with great confusion.
  13. I like the Imperial system. No, no, please don't throw the rotting vegetables. Let me explain. I do think that metrics are much better to use in, say, a lab setting. They are scientific measurements, and they're much easier to convert (e.g. meters to kilometers), which is important when sciencing. However, for day-to-day life, I like the American system much better. The units are easier to work with, in my opinion. They were created to be estimates. A foot is the length of a large foot. An inch is about the length of the first knuckle of your thumb to the tip. They're easy to work with in an informal setting. Because it isn't based on a system of tens, you don't have the jump from centimeters to meter. You have the inch, then foot, then yard. They're convenient. And I'm terrible at explanations. But still, if you're going to throw fruit, at least make it fresh. I think we're running low on broccoli.
  14. For international relations and immigration? Yes. Some of the stuff he's proposing is just blatantly unconstitutional.
  15. "I must've called a thousand goatsTo tell you..." -Agoat in from her hit song "Goat"
  16. Ah, the presidential elections. My thoughts: • I'm with Lark on Hillary, she just rubs me the wrong way • Can't stand Sanders' policies • Trump is. No. • Best choice: Cruz? Maybe? Best case scenario: we dump all current hopefuls into the ocean (not too far out, just a couple feet deep; some of these people are elderly and I'm not a monster) and elect Romney.
  17. Hey, if you're planning on going to BYU, and we're the same age...
  18. Well, if you want to make the thread lighter... I think it was on the Bad Day thread that Twi mentioned La-bibbida-bibba-dum. I've listened to it on repeat at least seven times by now.
  19. "Speaketh the Wordies of... ach, ah'm goin' Feegle... Somebody ge' me a copy o' Discworld!" Mistrunner shouts with an increasingly heavy accent.
  20. I really agree with you on this one. Taking away rep someone has just because you personally don't think it's good enough seems wrong to me. Just because you don't think a post is that funny or inspired doesn't mean it didn't resonate with someone else, and I don't think you get to decide whether their opinion was worth it or not. Unless it's used in the context of an agree/disagree system it doesn't seem right.
  21. Here you go! Also, Scott Kelley is doing an AMA!
  22. Rogue Nation, and of course!Possibly my favorite Piano Guys video.
  23. Mistrunner peeks out from behind her chair again. She whispers to Jasper, who yells "Just get out there, ya lazy lummox!" and throws his hands up in exasperation. It seems to be his permanent state. She slowly walks around and sits down, pulling a blanket around herself for security. "You wanted to join?" she asks in a small voice, and grabs a Ham bookie for strength.
