Why do the Allomantic Symbols on the Allomantic Chart look like they have Hemalurgic spikes going through them? Is there a reason?

I was looking through all the theories, and something came to my mind. Is there any link between the Metallic Arts and the Ten Essences, specifically hemalurgy? I mean, the Ten Essences have body foci, and so does hemalurgy and allomancy. Is there any kind of correlation going on here?

Do the lines on the Allomantic symbols, as shown on the Allomancy chart, look suspiciously like Hemalurgic spikes to anyone else, or am I going mad? (Don't know if anyone else has asked this before)
