On this one I just have some scale reference. Feel free to tell me if you think the design feels the right scale. Does it feel to big or to small without the reference?

Hey guys, I know there is already an official design for the axehounds from Roshar, but I've always felt like it isn't quite what I imagine when I read the books. So here is an idea for an alternative design. From a biological point of view, I pushed the design way more into a crustacean (or decapod) direction since I feel this is more accurate to the alien nature of the creatures of Roshar. Crustaceans don't really have proper jaws like in the original design so I opted to form the head carapace into an axe like shape (I hope this is not too on the nose :)). The Axehound would then use its head to smash the shells of other creatures or plants and then pick them with its to front scissor claws and put it in its mouth. I did put the feathers near the eyes since that is also where antennas originate on real crustaceans and it seems more logical to me. Lastly I made the hind knees go backward for the same reason. This is just an initial drawing. I plan to refine the design a lot more and maybe bring it into 3d some day, so feel free to give feedback and tell me what you think!
