Hello,
Before I begin, I couldn’t access my old account so I made a new one! Sorry if that is against guidelines, I will remedy it if it is. But I had a thought and needed to get my thoughts out.
I was wondering how the radiants in Urithuru could access stormlight and I wondered if they could use Navani’s method, but instead of creating an inverted wave, use constructive interference to amplify stormlight’s wave. I know that this mode of interference is additive, but the intensity is the amplitude squared. I don’t think this would create any extra stormlight, but the increase in energy density made me wonder if a Scandrian with an understanding of the tones of Preservation, Ruin and Honor(also maybe Odium) could build a machine that would use constructive interference to dramatically increase the energy density of a Nicrosilmind to a point where it could warp space-time. Does investiture give off heat? Would concentrating investiture in such a small space give off harmful radiation? It can give off light ah la stormlight. Would a large enough supply of investiture emit gamma radiation?
So anyways, could our Scandrian scientist use another machine attuned to Honor’s tone, specifically the gravitation surge portion of it, invert it so it hopefully functions as antigravity, and open a wormhole. Instant Scandrian FTL; although it just hit me if they could isolate the gravitational surge, why not just use the transportation surge and skip the wave inversion shenanigans. But doesn’t this mean a Scandrian with an understanding of the wave-mechanical nature of investiture be able to mechanize any and all forms of magic in the Cosmere?
Sorry if this is way off, I have two sick kids and they just fell asleep and I am a little delirious from lack of sleep for the past four days.
