The scene is lifted from the book, and self-edited for time, mainly to keep it playable as a short scene while still hitting a few key beats. On the dynamic, I leaned into a slightly more restrained take here since it’s their first face-to-face in a long time and they’re out in the open with guards around, so I treated it as a bit more cautious and measured in that moment. Two supposed noblemen being too familiar with each other could easily raise suspicion. Glad the Trap reveal landed for you, that was an important beat to get right.

Hi all, With the Cosmere adaptations moving forward, I taped an open audition scene for Dockson. I’m an actor with representation, and wanted to take a shot at bringing one of these characters into a live action setting. Dox felt like an interesting one to explore here, especially in how he balances caution and trust in Kelsier. I leaned into a more restrained, slightly tense version of him in this moment given the circumstances of the scene, though I can see the case for pushing more authority as well. Obviously casting will go through the usual channels, but I figured I’d take a shot at it anyway. Curious how this lines up with how people here picture Dockson in a moment like this.
