There is a Tomorrow
For there always has been
We say we can’t be there
And Today’s our prison

Of Yesterday, we remember.
When bliss was our life
We say that we’re burdened
By Today’s constant strife.

We wake up each Morning.
Expecting Tomorrow
But its arrival is hindered
By Today’s lingering sorrow

We’ve lived in Today
Feeling curious fear
For we can know nothing
Until Tomorrow is here.

“All work and no play
We'll save that for Later.”
But we live in the Now
To which we must cater.

There must be Tomorrow.
Or else we wouldn’t live on.
Either it’s not deserved Yet.
Or we’ve been there, it’s gone.

Why aren’t we ready?
Who decides if we are?
If Tomorrow is out there
It can’t be too far.

When we get to Tomorrow
There won’t be any pains.
Today will be History
And we’ll be free of our chains.

I believe in Tomorrow.
And who judges its come.
While Today may be stressful
Hope makes the pain numb.
