Mid-Range 76: Or Worse, Expelled!: A Harry Potter Mafia Game
Mystic replied to Archer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ver did Aman, TUM Araris first, then me, then Coco. Ver and I did talk in our PM about Aman. Not about the other two. If there is an Elim in the group, I’d say it’s Coco Edit: Aman, for the votes, remember that you add the plus ones as well, and it’s decided from there. Also, currently you’re my -1. I don’t want you exed right now, I just want to have the option to -

We just dont have a lot of info right now. If you’re going to guess, be confident in your guessing and see what happens. Theres not a hard time when we’ll start having good info to go off of, so pressing people(even if you’re wrong) always gives some info. But fair. -

I mean. Right now I don’t think Owl Mail is useful. Until people with info start dying, it’s not really that good. And right now, I don’t see a way for someone to get that sort of information. Not to mention that the Elims would have to correct guess who had said info anyways. However, if we’re saying what abilities we’d like to have. Friendship for me and Ver would be nice. Either too the Hufflepuff PM or one of us to another’s -

My plus votes: Qian, Doc, Ver Negative: Aman, Araris, TUM also, everyone, when voting, don’t give your prefect your +3. It’s a waste of extra credit if a prefect gets it. The names are not in order. -

If it’s irl stuff then nevermind. Even if you’re Elim, I’ll give you a bit before coming back to this. -
Completely unrelated, but this has also given me a weird PM mechanic. Basically: Anyways, onto your idea: so, a lot of the council requires consensus, which is not going to happen. Are you going to do a majority there, like the vote, or if there’s no consensus, is the ability just not going to happen. (Needing full consensus in order to do something would be interesting because then you’d try to exe people who don’t agree so you can get stuff done)

Mystic replied to Archer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, based on everything said so far. Slytherin got all the active people, and so I expect that one to have the best problem solving. However, I’m upping my theory of how many Elims are in Slytherin to two, as Elim teams kind of need to be active(either in PM or in thread). Hufflepuff, me and Ver have been chatting. But Ravenclaw and Gryffindor is going slowly. Which checks out with what I know of the players involved. Right now though. I’m not sure if the activity can help us solve. But it is still something we should keep an eye on. I personally am leaning on mint being the non-Slytherin Elim. That’s just because she’s only been commenting on other people’s analysis, and has said she doesn't want to appear inactive early game. Mippo has been the same. But she has played similarly in other games. For the people who’ve played with Mint, is this normal? -

So. Mippo, I am a bit concerned on the lack of Ravenclaw right now. Using a bit of profile stalking, all of them have been on today. Most in the last hour. Which means there’s a least some talk going on in the Ravenclaw PM. But you’re the only one that’s posted in thread so far. -

I’m good for the friendship. Extra credit depends on the chess match. And I’d prefer to not die and I’d like to be able to PM. -

Chess.com wasn’t working for Ver. Besides, how else were we supposed to decide who our prefect is? -

What? You’re not playing chess move by move because one of you is playing online and the other using a physical chessboard? -

Trance studied the board. The pieces chattering. He saw the move. His queen flew across the board. The Queen shouted in exhilaration, “haha, We took the Queen! Wait—“ before dying off in realization. Orry captured Trance’s Queen. ”Oh” Trance said, he hadn’t seen that -

Yes, Elim PMs were probably sent D0, as per the write up. But we don’t know when during D0. That means no one had any idea of their alignment till Archer said the Elim PMs were all sent at the beginning of D1. Or they got an Elim PM. Everyone got a PM before D0, no one was sure of their alignment till D1 though Edit: idk if I’m even responding to the right thing. I’m gonna do chess with Ver. We’ll see who wins -

Trance looks at the pieces. Maybe listening to them wasn’t the best idea. He tries to block the pawn, freeing his queen. Pawn to e4 This is gonna get really complicated if we miss a move lol -

Wait. Actually? I’ll get my own. Gimme a sec. But notation that would be knight to H3 Edit: if we’re doing the actual moves, we might want to do this in the house PM and do rp updates here -

Trance took his knight, moving it towards the middle. ”No! Not there!” The knight shouted, the centers for babies” Trance moved the knight to the other space instead. In that case we just hard cleared two people. But I don’t think that’s the case, as those PMs were sent only a bit before sign-ups closed -

I’m willing to V!read Ver as well, because if one of us is Elim, the other is getting manipulated. It’s basically a 1 on 1 PM right now What about Ravenclaw? Opinions there? -

Trance shrugged, “I mean… sure… I’m not doing anything else right now.” He pulled the chess set over to a table. “I may not know much about wizard chess, but white should still be the best” The pieces started chattering as soon as Trance started setting it all up. Ah! A new kid” “Put me in, I’ll take that King!” ”So… I’m not lasting last turn 4…” Luckily Trance didn’t drop the pieces. And he finished. “Ready?” He called to Orry. -

Yeah, I believe I said something about that earlier. Something along the lines of that it was just random chance. Cause we had no choice. And just going by that(plus my other thing of only having 3 Elims) there’s a least one in Slytherin, potentially 2, and one in either Gryffindor/Ravenclaw. I am clearing both myself and Ver, he was almost ready to let me be prefect. -

That might have been me miss-understanding No, everyone didn’t know their alignments while picking houses. If you look at the PM we all got, it says that that were village unless told otherwise. None of us could have known our real alignments until either A. Getting a PM from Archer saying that we’re actually Elim B. The Day starting and Archer announcing the Elim PMs were sent out without getting one. Until either of those things happened, none of us had any way to know what our alignment actually was. -

The numbers of Slytherin and Ravenclaw cannot exist if one or more of the people in them chose the house with the least amount of people As for changing houses based on alignment. We couldn’t have chosen houses before D0 meaning anything before that was just speculation. Sure you could have followed through with it, but there was no guarantee. And I though you said you changed houses based on alignment, not because people went to Slytherin Edit: and if you did change your house based on alignment, how did being village make you go from Slytherin to (Edit: Gryffindor) -

So… everyone got village PMs before D0. The only way for you to change your house based on alignment is if you got a PM from Archer during D0. That could only be the case if you were Elim. Otherwise you would’ve gotten your alignment before you had the chance to claim. And you wouldn’t have known for certain that you were village until D1 started, after Archer announced he had sent out the Elim PMs. ———— So, on to my own House house reasonings. All of Slytherin and Ravenclaw chose those houses. Guaranteed If that were not the case, the people who hadn’t chosen a house would’ve immediately gone to Hufflepuff(since we have two members(it’s making for surprisingly interesting prefect voting)) That means that Gryffindor and Hufflepuff got the people who didn’t clam a house. I did claim hufflepuff(you can check, I said I would after Doc and Coco wanted me to) 8 Pm EST(idk if that’s the correct format) or 0 utc.
