Did a little artistic impression of Kal and Syl post WAT. I love the way the herald design reflects their mortal character and wanted to do this for Kaladin. He's got the same military vibe, but more embellished with royal regalia befitting the king of heralds. The trim is all gold instead of white. It wasn't entirely clear in the book, but assumed his new head tattoo is a (simplified) bridge 4. I've emblazoned his cloak with a new glyph. Comprising of the wind, spear and bridge four. Lastly his Shardspear, I loved the scene when him and Syl danced, so I designed it to feel like two things weaving into one. Thought is was fun to name it, 'The Dance. (Every sword/spear needs a name!!) I wanted Syl to feel more substantial, but also more ethereal and god like. Given her dress a more regal trim but kept her feet free. Thought they both deserve a couple of invested crown.
