Snufflupagus

When I hear Brandon Sanderson talking on the "Writing Excuses" podcast he's involved in, he often mentions work that he did where a having a writing group helped. Does anyone know where to find good writing groups? I'm specifically looking for groups around Salt Lake, Utah, but I also appreciate general knowledge. A couple hours of googling didn't yield anything satisfying.
