Do we know any characters that are from there? Have any of the books taken us to Iriali yet?

Who or what are the Iriali? What book/story are they originally from? I'm reading Tress right now and in the beginning of the book the Iriali are mentioned. The name seems so familiar but I can't place where the hell I know them from. I feel like I should know about them but I can't remember where from. No spoilers please, I have read all the available stormlight books plus the novellas (haven't started Wind and Truth yet), and I've read Elantris, Warbreaker and all Mistborn books except for the Lost Metal (and only halfway through Secret History right now).

Some favorites are: Kaladin, because I can relate alot to his depression and it kinda gives me hope. Vin, because I like how she grew from pretty much a nervous little kid into a full fledged badass. Siri, because she never took anybody's rust for long, she was willing to stand up for herself and those she cares for. Steris, because she is always prepared, and she kinda reminds me of my dad how she makes lists for everything. Plus, she seems like a really loyal and trustworthy person. Now characters I don't like, I have a feeling a lot of people might disagree with me on these lol: Dalinar, because I really hate mass murderers no matter how much they atone or change or cry over it. The simple fact is, a TON of people are dead who shouldn't be and it is all his fault. Hrathen, I immediately hate any character that tries to force their religion on others. It's that sense of "I'm right and I know what is best for everyone else" that I truly despise. I'm tempted to say coinshot, because being able to fly around like that would be awesome. But I think being a gold ferring would be slightly better for me really just because I have lots of aches and pains and it would be nice to be able to heal those lol. And yes, I plan on reading Yumi and Sunlit Man after I finish the rest of Mistborn and Tress. Hopefully I can fit all of those in before Wind and Truth comes out (only have a month left so it'll be close).

I like both eras of Mistborn equally I think right now. They are both so different from eachother it's really hard to say, there's things I really enjoy from each. I think I'd have to wait till I finish The Lost Metal before I know for sure which one I like better.

Hmmm...My favorite spren would probably be the Cryptics. I really like Pattern. And my favorite metals would be, steel for allomancy, being a coinshot would be so cool. And gold for feruchemy, being able to heal yourself like that would be pretty useful.

Hey there! I'm Kevin. Relatively new to the cosmere, just started reading it January of this year but Brandon Sanderson has quickly become my favorite author. I just think he's an awesome writer! Some friends of mine on Discord had reccomended The Way of Kings to me so I started my journey there and fell in love with Kaladin, Shallan and Syl almost instantly. After TWoK I quickly went out and got the rest of the Stormlight Archive and read all the way through Rhythm of War in about 2 months and I was hooked. So far I've read all the Stormlight stuff (novellas included), The first Mistborn era, half of the second Mistborn era (just started reading Bands of Mourning this morning), Warbreaker, Elantris and all the stuff in Arcanum Unbounded (except for Secret History-I'm waiting finish BoM before I read it). Currently reading aformentioned BoM and Tress of the Emerald Sea. I plan on reading the rest of the cosmere and am very excited for Wind and Truth to be coming out next month. Anyways, glad to be here! Hopefully I can have some fun talking about all these great books with you all. Btw, my favorite books so far have been The Way of Kings, Warbreaker and Mistborn:The Final Empire.
