  1. I suppose I define "ice cream" as a cold malleable snack with a somewhat creamy texture and probably some other attributes. Under my defenition, vegan ice cream is, indeed, "ice cream".
  2. Watching him suffer in Tress was great. Define ice cream.
  3. So, in other words, newborns generally somehow pull in Investiture from the "part" of the SR "associated" with their world? Hmm, that can be made sense of... maybe SDNA can say how much Investiture a soul should pull in, and therefore pull in such-and-such amount of Preservation's Investiture to become such-and-such power level in Allomancy (when they snap). So, an average person might have a SDNA Investiture gene of 2 Preservation units and 1 Ruin unit, a Misting might have 8 Preservation units and a Ruin unit, and a Mistborn might have 30 SDNAPU, and Lerasium might grant 150 SDNAPU. Children born off-world of their parents might somehow end up with different SDNA Investiture "commands": So maybe a Scadrian born on Roshar would end up with SDNA saying to pull Investiture units from Honor, Odium, and Cultivation instead. Sound like a decent theory?
  4. I could have sworn I read somewhere that "Feruchemy was there before ruin and preservation came to the planet", this makes everything make way more sense. Thanks. This half-answers my question (Thanks). But my most crucial question of "Where does the Investiture come from?" still remains. That's what I meant when I said it's "not just a spirit-web thing", I didn't mean that other factors affect someone's allomancy, I meant that Allomancers/Feruchemists are more Invested than others without the Metallic Arts, and that investiture has to have come from somewhere. I will go start a new thread and discuss how newborns get Investiture, since it would be wise to discuss other books... Although this at least says something about it.
  5. If the 3 realms don't intersect at all at places where black holes exist, then they shouldn't have any effects on other realms at all, besides not being connected to the PR, so approaching where a black hole *would* be in the SR or CR shouldn't do much, unless you need to be connected to the PR.
  6. Thanks. On a related note, how exactly is Allomancy passed down? There's no evidence of anyone losing Investiture when their children are born, so the investiture must come directly from the Preservation shard on birth, presumably automatically, as if Preservation somehow "programmed" the shard to give newborn Investiture automatically. But Allomancy isn't just a spiritweb thing, someone with Allomancy has extra investiture. Does their Spiritweb somehow "tell" the preservation shard to provide more Investiture? But why, then, would Allomancy weaken over time? Most of these problems apply to and even might worsen with Feruchemy, as apparently it existed before Preservation... Hey, wait a minute. If humans existed on the planet before Preservation, and Preservation's investiture is supposed to be the thing giving humans free will, what the hell was happening before Preservation and Ruin arrived? Actually, I should start a new thread in general Cosmere Q&A before this leaks into asking about other shards and minor shardworlds and their life being Invested... Yes. If you read the post, then it is not maybe, it is definetly.
  7. We know that Hemalurgy steals Preservation's investment in a person. We also know that spikes not stored in blood lose power. Where does the lost power go?
  8. F copper, real life superpower of slightly worse photographic memory. Also, forgetting things on purpose! Eye bleach! Poison dart frog. Maybe I could get a glove or something. I'll pass, I don't like travel.
  9. Assuming that you mean being a misting/ferring in the real world.. Probably F copper. Basically just photographic memory. Real life superpower.
  10. Aight, that answers most of my questions and probably is about the most i'll get till new books come out. Thanks.
  11. Read White Sands, both Mistborn eras, Stormlight 1-4, Dawnshard, Skyward series (not the side stories), Steelheart series (not lux), Warbreaker, Elantris, The Rithmatist, Alcatraz Vs. the Evil Librarians (except the last one), Legion books, and in the middle of Frugal Wizard. Pretty much just waiting on the libraries to read a lot of the missing books. Favorite Cosmere magic system Feruchemy, favorite series OG mistborn (totally rare opinion lol) Edit: Finished Frugal, read Tress Edit: Read sunlit man
  12. Thanks, hope this gets moved soon then Thanks, that answers my questions about Spren bonds. I suspected that F Duralumin would be RAFO'd, so I was thinking about theorizing about what it is and what it does.
  13. As we've seen, Duralumin can store not only Connection to people, but connection to places. This may suggest that you can store Connections to anything. Can this work for anything? Could you store a Spren bond in an unkeyed metalmind and give it to another Duralumin ferring? How would a Spren react to being temporarily Connected to two people at once? Obviously, some power systems are also keyed to Identity, but storing Identity opens a whole 'nother bag of worms, like storing Mistborn status or something. Could you store your Spiritual, Physical and Cognitive Connections to each other? Could someone tap an unkeyed metalmind of someone else's Connection and possess them, or steal their relationships? How would your Spiritual aspect react to being Connected to two different bodies at once? Are there different types of Duraluminminds, like tinminds? For example, social Connections and Connections to places? This would be helpful to nerf Connection storage, so that you could not, say, be a famous Youtuber, periodically store your *millions* of parasocial relationships, and use that to forcibly bond spren? According to Brandon Sanderson in https://wob.coppermind.net/events/188-general-reddit-2015/#e3923, your age is also a Connection between your three aspects, which made TLR's immortality difficult because his Spiritual aspect was pushing back. Can Duraluminminds store specific parts of your Connection, or only a equal portion of all the "parts" of a Connection. For example. could you store only the age portion of your Physical-Spiritual aspects connection to fix TLR's problem? All kinds of shenanigans might be able to be played with disconnecting certain parts of your Connections! Could you make yourself forget something by storing your Connection to a memory in the Cognitive Realm? How does being *partially* connected to some things work? If you are storing 50% of a spren bond, would breaking the oaths give the spren 50% of the pain? Would your surgebinding and healing only be 50% as powerful, and your spren able to detect you half as well? Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to put all my questions into words, so that'll be all for now. Duraluminminds just might have just as much potential as Nicrosilminds, as absurd as that sounds. It just seems like a very interesting topic to talk about. Note that much of this could also apply to Bondsmiths...
