  1. But what about historical art? (Like, this art is from looong ago) Stuff that doesn’t necessarily evoke emotion, but is still useful and respected?
  2. What’s it powered by? What does that mean? It’s powered by itself.
  3. He narrowed his eyes at the mention of Intellect. “Interesting…” He frowns. “That… that shouldn’t work…”
  4. Okokok So This is the basics - each particle of the Adari has an indefinite size, indefinite mass, etc. They can be split into more, and they each have capacity to do stuff. Like near-Narration. Afterimage is the shared consciousness between them - but his body is just a collection of some of them. The rest literally permeate everything they can reach. If the particles were to have a third substance - some sort of regular dust - it could separate itself from the rest with an almost film - it would hold the dust up in an outline of a body, and the Nullite dust would rest on that. The Adari particles would be inside that outline, away from the Nullite. Then, the other Adari particles would be able to read all the stuff that the cut-off particles would see/feel, and then execute whatever magic it would want to do. It would be limited by its accessibility to the rest of the Adari, but this is still better than nothing. Afterimage isn’t sure what they are waiting for.
  5. So like his body talks to yall, it interacts with you all, but it’s really just an illusion.
  6. I can if I say it could! Plus, it’s not like it would completely cripple him - his body is not is body. Quote order weird. ”Okay”
  7. Drin was also looking at Aeia. @Through The Living Glass
  8. So - I actually thought about this. Nullite doesn’t resist the pull of planets - Afterimage would be able use some sort of natural dust which he was pushing - and then, using that, he would nudge the Nullite the way he wanted. ”I can help with that!” @Through The Living Glass ”Depends. I know Rebus had similar ideas.”
  9. “Yes - I can basically do most everything a Narrator can.”
  10. “Sadly, no. I was created as a way for Drin to stop relying on his Narration.”
  11. The colors disappeared. Afterimage giggled. “It’s just a step away from Narration, honestly.”
  12. He nodded. “Hhmmm…” He replayed the conversation in his mind, then frowned. ”…wait. Why was the crown crystal? That doesn’t make any sense… Aela, could you describe your time with the crown?”
  13. “Specifically Nullite dust - that way, I’m not always just Narrated away if I do anything consequential. I’ll mix it with the magical crystal dust that makes up my body.”
  14. Drin looked between them, then frowned. “Did any of you find anything in your research?”
  15. Seeing as he didn’t really have a body and or wasn’t able to feel pain, he didn’t mind.
  16. The tree disappears, and After Image looks at him curiously, humming softly, “In the end of time, there was a man who knew the road. And the writing, was written on the stooooone.”
  17. “Mmmmhhhhhh… if only I were a Narrator. Actually, wait, no. I want a bunch of Nullite dust.” After Image’s Author struck her down with a beam of lightning, leaving her reduced to ash. For at least, like, a fraction of a second. He followed.
