  1. So the vaporization effect happens only when cutting non-living object, yes that's true, but by your words if you get "cut by the blade sharp tip" your soul would get cut, wouldn't it? And the blade would pass through the skin with a fuzzy effect. I agree with you. I mean I would agree with you if it was another author, maybe Sanderson has got me spoiled with the consistency of his magic system so it kinda bugs me when I find situation where effects aren't what I expect them to be. Still I will take your advice by heart. On this note I was reading this passage on Oathbringer chapter 38: What's the use of a shardhammer if you have something that cut everything?
  2. yes, from the pictures I see from the jezrien honorblade like this I really don't see any "flat side" from what dalinar could "clap" the sword without getting cut. It's a short, thin, and double-edged sword (words from the coppermind article). ohh so.. instead of covering the sword like A is more like B? Sorry for the bad picture I'm not artist!
  3. Hi, I'm a bit confused about the mechanics of a shardblade and the lastclap: from the thread on reddit on the cheese Sanderson said "There is this little "shield of vaporization" around a Blade while it cuts, so a thinner Blade (like Szeth's Honorblade) might not have this drawback at all. It depends on how far back the shield of vaporization extends, and how thick the blade is." How can you catch a blade where this "shield of vaporization" is without having your "hand soul" cut? I was thinking it could have something to do with Dalinar and Kaladin both having (at the time) rudimentary access to the surge of adesion but then, why a shardblade should be susceptible to the surge since it's an invested object?
  4. In chapter 33 seems quite impossible for him to write the glyphs. he was awaken and he was with navani, then he went to fight with Kaladin. I've read all the stormlight so I know it was probably Renarin to write the countdown, but i dont understand why Navani accept that it was Dalinar when at least in this occasion seems quite impossible.
  5. Hi everyone, Why in chapter 50 of WoR Dalinar is convinced he is the one who wrote the glyphs? He couldn't be him since at least once they appeared when he was with Navani the whole time.
  6. Thanks to everyone for your answers!
  7. Thanks! I'm not familiar with peanut butter, I think I've tasted it only once. It's not an usual snack here. Does he count?
  8. Probably Dalinar, his flashback in oathbringer is so beautiful! But Lift is my confort character!
  9. Thanks for the answer, very precise! One more thing: how can a ship survive an highstorm on the sea? I mean it seems dangerous compared to the trip on the land.
  10. I never tasted pineapple on pizza, but I'm not opposed too. Like I say to my fellow Italians "we have done worse things to sushi compared to what americana did to pizza" So i will try It sometimes, once I find a Pizzeria that actually bake it. That's a tough one since my first idea was Urithiru.. but a week? Probably I won't survive anywhere else but shinovar!
  11. Hello, A friend of mine is reading WoR and he asked me a question that I couldn't answer. Why did Jasnah and Shallan decide to make the trip in Red instead of the trip in White? They would arrive by the alethi side instead of the parshmen side and it's quite shorter too.
  12. Hi to you! I've read everything translated to italian so far: Elantris, warbreaker, mistborn era 1, mistborn era 2 to the bands of Mourning, stormlight 1-4 and arcanum unbounded. I'm about to start Tress of the Emerald Sea. I really want to read dawnshard but it's not translated yet. Thanks! I Will try not to! To quote a friend of mine "Hemalurgy Is broken". It seems really "not to fit" with the other types of investiture Powers on Scadrial. I don't know but i reserve to write a more extensive post After i will read "the Lost metal" since i know it's should be more relevant there (i had minor spoilers).
  13. Hello, I'm Aryon from Italy. I'm 35 years old and I'm a huge Cosmere fan. My last BS book was Bands of Mourning and my last not Cosmere book read was the broken earth trilogy. See you!
