Found these on YouTube by accident. You've probably seen them. For Mistborn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_4ahRwX0Cc Personally, I think Elend and Vin were screwed up pretty badly, and Spook looks a little off as well. For Stormlight Archive (I only know the first few characters, nothing before Lift): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOtj8M_p-ZA I think Kaladin was bad, and Adolin's hair was completely wrong. Thoughts?

The runner’s guild
iLewoArtist29 replied to Weaver of Shadows's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Oh, hey. Yeah, I'm definitely not blond. My hair is sepia. Anyway, what kinda running do you guys do? Long, short? My school XC races are 2 miles; we usually run between 3-5 per practice depending on how fast we are. There's this one kid who's ridiculously fast and manages to do 6 minute miles. Also, he's shorter than me (I'm 5'3"). I'm not a super great runner, so my mile times tend to be between 7-8 minutes most of the time. I've run a 5K before. I also run track. What are your favorite distances? Mine are the 800 and the 200, though I've never tried 100s (my coach won't let me). I HATE the mile; I have to do it a lot anyway. School records: long jump: 14. something. 400: 61 seconds. 100: 12. something.- 43 replies

It's not your fault. I was being dramatic.

No, sorry, you're good. Just referencing other stuff I don't know in general. Sorry.

Me not knowing who that is because I still haven't gotten the next book *cries*.

I love that you've been able to reconcile to Shallan. Originally, I thought she was kinda stuck up as well, but her depth was revealed more later.

Can someone please explain a few things to me?
iLewoArtist29 replied to iLewoArtist29's topic in Mistborn
Ohhhh that makes more sense. I did read Secret History; I just was in a rush or something and didn't catch that. Thanks so much! -
Okay. So Sliverism is based off of Ironeyes, right? How did that come to be? This is one of my questions that keeps bothering me. Also... why is Lestibournes called the Lord Mistborn? I thought that was Kell. Technically. Unless he had lerasium somehow?

Thanks, I'll be sure to do that soon!

I read Tress of the Emerald Sea, and also Mistborn Era Two. What other Cosmere books are thre? I don't really have a plan other than reading every Sanderson book I possibly can I also read Elantris, though that was a long time ago.

Oh, then why did you have to tempt me?!
-
Wit? I know who he is. Vaguely.
-
It was literally just the first book, and a lot of sitting and reading. I'm a fast reader. Wit... Wit is Wit.
-
I just finished The Way of Kings. Wow. I mean, that was a literal 1007 pages; it was hard, even for me. Took me three days of near constant reading to finish it. So anyway. I'm kinda just here, announcing that, but while I'm here, what was everyone's favorite character? I'm pretty sure I can infer that @Hyper129's favorite character was Wit, but what about you others? I think mine was Syl, but I still don't know what she is. Bridge Four!

Anyone find Kell's self-sacrifice a little weird?
iLewoArtist29 replied to iLewoArtist29's topic in Mistborn
Hm. That is a fascinating way of looking at it. -

WHOA. That is insanely cool. Or weird. I can't decide which. -

I will be reading Stormlight in approximately the time it takes for my dad to come back from the library with the first and only book they have. I already got Hyper to lend me the others, so that's great. Also, I noticed Hoid turns up in Tress of the Emerald Sea, Mistborn, and (I'm guessing) Stormlight. I briefly saw a page about that somewhere, but I didn't get time to read it. Can someone explain...? -
Yep, you wish. And I have tried to help you... but it's too many. Maybe lump them together instead. Very good advice.
-
Yeah, forgot to add them. Also, I'm not going to post a chapter a day; it'll probably be per week but since I'm super forgetful, it'll probably be erratic...
-
Unfortunately, no. I wish I could say I had, but I just uploaded it. Right. Because we love posting 125 page long books on here. Also, I'm she/her so that's fine.

And here's another one. I haven't been working on this one so much, so I'm going to post sporadically (don't expect it daily or anything, pls). I also still don't know why the formatting is like this. Prologue June 18th, 2094 Imagine you’re at home, Dr. Evangeline Brooke thought to herself. Don’t think about the publicity. Not about the people. Think about what you love, and where you’re going. As her breaths returned to normal, Dr. Brooke became herself again. Just Eve. Not the scientist and the computer genius; just Eve, the daughter of Lynn and Jamie Brooke, the sister of Robin and Orson, and the twin of Elliot. This version of Eve had been able to face the world, face the challenges set by the boys in her hometown who thought they could outrun her, and face the tests and trials concocted by her brothers and their friends. This personality that would go, this day, to space, to a small, unknown until now, planet. So much was at stake here. President Rosalind had offered to come with them: only the stakes and how much the country needed her discouraged her from boarding the Caelan. America had been through a lot lately. The previously unknown society, the International Organization for Cyberterrorism (IOCT), had recently hacked the cyber security system of every device in America in an attempt to overthrow the technology that had been developed in the last few decades. A few dedicated scientists, including Dr. Scott Lee, a man who would be on the crew of the Caelan, had fought back, hour by hour, until the technology was restored. But it had been a crushing blow for the country as a whole. Which was why this mission mattered. If the planet, somehow overlooked for centuries, was the right place for humanity to move to when the time came, billions of people could be saved, and the corrupted could be pruned out. Something nagged at Eve as she glanced at her watch to make sure she would meet the deadline of 3:30: it couldn’t be that simple. But this was the best that she would be able to do, at least in this time and age. As she climbed out of the taxi, Eve thanked the driver despite her discomfort and strode closer and closer to the building that had enabled her, for these five years, to dream of space.
