Alvar blinks at the dagger. "You had these unsheathed?" Then the arrow hits him in the back. "Of course. Good job, you two." @Spark of Hope -
Alvar swings his sword again, but this time the tip shatters, sending a fist sized ice chunk at Dint. He closes in, warding off any possible counterattacks with his shield while bringing the sword in for the "kill". Then, an arrow hits him in the back.

Cole on the other hand begins to shiver, and has to wrap the coat around himself again. Denied access to wind, his energy drops and he begins to shiver even worse.

After ducking the moss arrow, Alvar pivots and sweeps his sword around to keep distance. He retreats left from Dint’s perspective, keeping the sword one way and the shield the other.

Cole walks off to the side of the group. He’s rolled up his sleeves and seems more energetic than he should be.

Alvar proceeds to ignore Dint and continue running towards Lusha; as long as he’s out of dagger range he doesn’t need to worry. @Spark of Hope Edit (ninjas): Alvar’s plan is the same, even though Lusha is now approaching. So L ^ | A D

Alvar tries to run around Dint; he wants his shield toward Lusha, which is difficult to do while still being able to attack. @Spark of Hope L D <- A

Alvar ducks behind trees, again trying to make himself hard to aim at. He actually dodges into an arrow, but manages to deflect it with the shield. He’s not quite going towards Dint, but definitely could be intercepted. @SpiritOfWrath

Rust hops through the door. “How did you get a place and not a thing?” @SpiritOfWrath

Alvar, sword and shield at the ready, goes back to the area he’s been starting from. “Alright, go!” he calls, then runs forwards.

Alvar thinks. “Dint, perhaps. That lets me practice against a similar enemy as the bandits, you practice with the sort of fighting we’ll be doing, and Dint practice with daggers.” @SpiritOfWrath

“It’s fine, I can just cut through them…” he trails off. “Oh. Never mind, I suppose. Do you want a more balanced advantage?”

Alvar chuckles. “You think this is the best I can do? Although I suppose you haven’t seen me fight… not for real, against someone with enough skill to challenge me in melee.” He shuts off the water. “How about this time you can use magic?”

Rust and the others presumably reach the dark doorway back to the Idea. “It was interesting to be here. I think I learned some things.”

Nick smiles. “See what you can do.” SIMON the proceeds to try to scan though the whole internet, but is stopped quickly. Wow. It’s so small. But it’s so slow. This is going to take forever… Using the comparatively minuscule bandwidth, SIMON looks up the teleportation game show and its address, ratings, schedule, and everything else available. Nick nods. “I’ll see what I can do. I’m not actually sure if I can bring my technology into your world, at a large scale.” -
Cole continues walking along, either not noticing or not caring about opinions of his companions.

Alvar flicks his other wrist, and rather than making a blade, he freezes it into a shield with spikes on it. He grins, or rather bares his teeth. “In that case, let’s try this.”

“Some strange people - some of them were humans and some were not - came from the sky one day. That is why they are called sky people. We are going to meet them.” Some of Rust’s node fall into a hole they didn’t notice, and they stop to fish them out. “The sky people look for more people around things called stars. I cannot see them, but they say they prevent the Spoiling from happening everywhere.”

Rust “walks” through the landscape, seeming to scramble and slip on the ordinary ground. They try to make some small talk. “Are there sky people here too? They come from the sky in me-alive devices and wear you-alive clothes.”

Alvar walks back to his starting point, and waits for the signal. He gets closer, this time; dodging more in tune with how fast Lusha can fire. Acknowledging the loss with a nod, he checks how much water he has left. “Do we have a map? I want to try something, but I’m afraid I’ll run out of water before the end of the trip.”
