  1. I forgot about U-Tol in Yumi. I read that one last year, so it isn't as fresh in my mind.
  2. At the end Zillion is back on the run, but do we know for sure what planet he ended up on? I know them mention Yoman, but it seems like he ended up somewhere else. Thoughts?
  3. Hoid is my favorite character in the Cosmere, but I don't think he is a good guy...at all. He's selfish, cunning, and tricky. I think he is ultimately only out for himself in the Cosmere, but he does have a larger goal. Would you want to help Hoid on purpose or do you think the Cosmere would be better off without him?
  4. It's going to be a flash forward to a planet we have already seen, but maybe only in a very short passing, and feature a heavy amount of history on Silver light and travelling the Cosmere. And Hoid will do something...
  5. I'm open for all spoilers, I don't mind. I know for some it's a no-go, but for me they just add for my own behind the scenes red string.
  6. So, I misspoke when I said case in point when I meant it as a hypothetical example. And yes, I have read secret history. Cause I read the Cosmere in what is probably the worst possible order...
  7. Possibly, although that feels more like a Mentat from Dune, so it depends on a few factors. Like would a soul stamp work using something that isn't particularly that wax on Sel. If it doesn't work that way, you might be able to use the wax to re-write somethings history to make it able to "read" the saved information, like a flash drive.
  8. Honestly, my first thought is a soul stamp or something similar. As for books, it's a bit all over the place, but I don't mind spoilers.
  9. My least favorite character right now is Sixth of the Dusk. I found that Novella the most boring of what I've read so far.
  10. If that's the case, Jah Keved. Might as well see what happens.
  11. On Roshar? None. I would die so fast...I probably wouldn't make it in most of the Cosmere planets.
  12. Oh, I thought it was a typo...um...are the spores technically a plant?
  13. Im only a few pages in, so at the moment Dalinar and the Storm Father going over Dalinar's flashback montage. Sel, because I want to know more about how the different magic systems work together.
  14. My thought was, what if the majority of a person's identity and memories were saved by using Feruchamey and placed in a machine (a robot, computer, or anything else) would this function much like AI does in our world. Maybe not a perfect recreation of a person, but have the fundamentals of that person? Would this be a way to "save" important figures from history from this discovery forward or upload those who previously did similarly? Case in point, the Lord Ruler saved an imperfect back up version with only enough memories and identity to come back as a much weaker version in hopes to someday have others help restore his memory. Somehow, the Lord Ruler returned?
  15. Shallan. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I love her and pattern. As someone else with the trauma who uses humor to cope, I relate a lot to her. My second favorite is Wit, because he can just call out everyone on their nonsense.
  16. Hi all, I am SilverShard. I'm making my way through the Cosmere in probably the weirdest possible order. I'm currently reading Oathbringer and have read all of the following: The Final Empire Secret History Shadows for Silence The Eleventh Metal The Way of Kings Words of Radiance Edgedancer Yumi and the Nightmare Painter The Hope of Elantris The Emperor's Soul Sixth of the Dusk Alomancer Jak White Sands I'm fine with spoilers, but if you want to RAFO me, also fine. Can you tell I'm reading what I can find in the order I find it unless I know it's a series?
  17. Yep, nope, you are 100% right on the HoA quote. I just completely forgot and got way to wrapped up with Stormlight and re-reading Shadows for Silence that my brain went full red string. I still think there's something about silver and the interruptions in investiture it seems to cause, but I might be looking in the wrong places and reaching way too much.
  18. I've been thinking about how silver works in the Cosmere, and realized that we know that it interrupts investiture. My thoughts are that silver is allomantically inert due to needing to be an alloy with another metal to be burned by a Mistborn or else it just does nothing as it has the ability to interrupt investiture. In addition, we know that Electrum (45% gold, 55% silver) is able to block the godmetal of Ruin (Atium). Do we know if the other godmetals have a silver counter part that can interrupt them as well? Can someone tell me if I am just slowly losing my mind or if I'm on to something with silver, because the amount of disruptive power that it seems to have for the few times it has shown up I think could be huge and we as a fan base are just overlooking it.
