Hey y'all.
As many of you (hopefully) know, today is memorial day, a day to remember and honor those who died in service and protection of our country. But I feel like a lot of people have forgotten that... or at least, it's turned into a day to remember all our deceased ancestors instead. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with honoring our ancestors, but it seems to me that the focus has shifted away from what we're meant to be focusing on. A significant part of my family is or has been in the military, and so this is very important to me. I hope you'll take a moment to think or research some of their stories.
I don't know how to put everything else into words, but thank you for reading this anyway, and have a good night.
SpoilerI found a Vietnam War story that hits pretty hard, if you want to read it. Trigger warning for implied gore:

If you would, research these kinds of stories on your own time and read the rest of the ones on that site.
