  1. I was having a conversation with a friend when he came up with an interesting idea, so I came here. Could a Thug make a very successful career as a sword eater? Say he makes custom, long but thin blades out of Pewter. As he swallows the sword, he actually flares and burns the sword as it enters his body, allowing him to stick ridiculously long swords down his throat. When the Thug pulls the sword up, the audience is astonished to see only the hilt remains. I picked Pewter because it burns very quickly, but he would have to lower the sword down his throat slowly regardless, and because he might survive a slipup. A Mistborn would have a better chance with Duralumin, allowing them to burn the blade much quicker. This is of course ridiculous, but would it work, even inefficiently?
  2. Therefore, if you were to stab a couple people who have Blanked Identities, could you theoretically Compound? Would that remove the Identity contamination? I don't really know enough about Identity and spikes.
  3. Probably Feruchemy, I enjoy all the shenanigans you can create. Definitely the Mistborn forums. Certainly an interesting concept. Lots of things to ponder. Interesting moral implications.
  4. That's tricky. Botw will always be nostalgic for me, and it has a different feel to it. I already knew most of the surface of Totk when I begun, so I didn't get the same joy from exploration. Totk has some great mechanics, while I prefer the overall feel of Botw. I would say that I probably like Botw a smidgen better. I think that Feruchemy is much more practical in our world. While leaping around with A-Steel and A-Iron would be amazing, I think simple things like storing wakefulness and heat would help more. Feruchemy is also more subtle, and I could probably prevent others from knowing about my feruchemy easier than I could with Allomancy. I must admit, I rarely eat bagels. So no, I do not.
  5. Ok, so it might change your physical appearance, but probably not.
  6. I've been lurking here for a bit, and I probably should have done this earlier. I don't know much about the Cosmere as a whole, but I am a avid fan of Mistborn. I fell in love with the intricate worldbuilding and the unique magic systems, and Mistborn will always have a special place in my bookshelves. I don't really know what else to say, so hello once again.
  7. Say you are a Full Feruchemist. You want to take somebodies place, but you're not a kandra. Step 1: Store all of your Identity in a duralumin metalmind and safekeep it for later. Step 2: Spike the person your want to impersonate with duralumin and Steal their Identity. Step 3: Insert the duralumin Spike into yourself. Step 4: Tap F-Gold, which is supposed to transform your body into what your Identity thinks you are (I think?). Step 5: You now look exactly like them and act like them. I'm not fully versed in how Identity and F-Gold work, so I'm unsure on what exactly what happens. Sorry if this has been asked before. Would this work?
  8. Sorry, I didn't realise! Thanks!
  9. You can? I couldn't find them on the store, could you please provide a direct link? Thanks!
  10. Apologies- It has been a while since I read Mistborn, and I mixed them up.
  11. I believe Hoid appears as a "beggar informant". Vin gets a gut feeling not to approach him. Take this with a grain of salt, as it's been a while since I read the books.
