"Hello." Said a voice, low and smooth. "I need someth-" The voice cut off abruptly. "Are you..." A shiver ran down my spine. How could this voice in my head know? No, I responded firmly.
"You're... like me. At least your true self is." No. I repeated. "There was a time when you wouldn't have to hide yourself." I am not anything special! "I know what you are, and why you don't want to be found. You would be hunted, driven from place to place, never able to find rest. Until you gave up."
