    I also got this vibe. Its been A LONG TIME since our current events in the stormlight timeline. Sigzil can interact with a sentient DEAD bonded spren. Which means the hints they dropped with Adolin are not only confirmed but explored. So I feel we can be pretty confident we are well past that. Aux says in the book we are roughly 10k years after the shattering. Which is a pretty good gap from where I think the current timeline lines up. Can't be sure as far as I know Sando hasn't nailed it down. But after the secret projects he seems to be getting there.
