    Elan looked at the path. Probably hazardous. He pushed on the ground with his hands, and with a bit of effort managed to pull one of his feet out. Calm down. He took a deep breath, and the other foot began coming up to the surface, allowing him to pull it out too. He scrambled carefully to where she was, hiding in the hole. His body shook violently, his eyes wide and breathing fast. He tried to slow it down, sweat still trickling down his face. "Thank you..." He pants out.

    Elan's head whirled around. He somehow heard her through the chaos. Hand still shaking, he furrowed his brows. "What?" He mouthed. He ducked as something flew over his head, and his heart started pounding harder. His feet sunk further into the ground, up to his shins now. A bead of sweat formed on his brow.

    Elan screamed. This was too much like... like... Don't remember. He slowly began to sink into the ground, his ankles squishing into it like wet clay. Don't. The chaos filled his ears, and his eyes darted every which way, taking in as much of the fight as possible. His hand shook violently as he reached for his belt (a mere rope), where a small knife was tied. He had no idea who to fight for.
