    Lukas jumped, seeing her. He screamed, and ran out of his door. He immediately went to the closest nice-looking door, and knocked. The boy reappeared next to Sunny.

    The boy began to fade back to his normal time. In the corner, Lukas began to stir.

    Silence. The boy is pale. His mind is spinning.

    The boy doesn’t notice. He’s huddled on the floor, shaking, looking into the middle distance hauntedly.

    “Hey!” The boy says to Lukas (who hasn’t been named yet. Lukas runs over and throws his arms around the boy. “I love you.” The boy says softly. Sadly. “I’m sorry.” He pricks Lukas in the neck with a needle. Lukas immediately collapses, convulsing. The boy flinches back. “I’m so, so, so sorry.”
