Yeah, there's nothing to apologize for Whim! Stating that Ruin and Preservation made Scadrial is a big claim, one I'd have argued vehemently against in the past. It took me a lot of searching to find this, and there was a moment where I was pretty sure that I'd made it all up, but I found it here!
QUESTION
If another Shard came to Scadrial, would that be enough to create a godmetal?
BRANDON SANDERSON
If another shard just came to visit, probably not.
QUESTION
If they brought a spren or-
BRANDON SANDERSON
If they came and completely Invested the world, then things might start happening. But there's some special circumstances, remember. Ruin and Preservation created that planet. Specifically. And so there's some goofy things that happened because of that. For instance Roshar was not made by Honor, Cultivation, or Odium. That's one of the big differences about what's going on there.0 -
Unless you've got a quote, there's no confirmation that he's trapped on Braize specifically. The quote from the second later states that he cannot leave the "system" that he bow inhabits. He certainly is on Braize right now, but we haven't been told that he cannot leave that planet.

Thanks, jameleecee!
I'm sorry Pathfinder, that's not something that's going to happen,it would take up too much space. I think you mistake the purpose of me listing all these facts like this. It's meant for people who don't keep up as closely with new information, most of this stuff was posted a couple weeks ago, or for those who want a brief overview of the new interviews as a jumping off point. I don't even include every new question because that would take up too much space, and there's not much point in me simply posting a whole interview on this article. It's meant to be a quick overview of what was said. I'll add links to the interviews themselves next time, but most of these use essentially the same words that Brandon did. If you disagree with my interpretation, feel free to discuss it here, that's what comments are for.

It has been confirmed. I can try to find one later if you like.

@Kurk
The Perpendicularities were mentioned in that little Jasnah POV that Branon wrote after the assassination attempt.

I should be outside my local bookstore right now...

I'm gradually getting used to it, Kurk

Thanks so much for giving us the link!

I'm not the one who built it, so I won't be doing any previews. However, I just tested it, and yes, that bug is gone.

I can vouch for how awesome they are. It's actually fairly off-putting to come back to this version of IPB after playing around with the new one. I think you guys are going to like it a lot!

Nope, Brandon's got at least one chapter on his website, and Tor recently released one on their website as well. I think they're the same, but I haven't checked.

This one I do know, it is a full-sized book, the first in a trilogy. Although being YA, I'd think it's probably a safe bet that it'll be shorter than Brandon's adult novels.

Darn it Chaos, showing me up

I don't believe so, if we do it's not on Brandon's site.

Doloken is hell, Brandon finds it amusing because even the word for hell in Dula sounds fun. I kind of think Jesker doesn't have any gods.
In addition to Iald (which I knew about
) there's also the city of Rain in Arelon. Iald does make it seem likely though that there is another sea out there, maybe to the west? The Sea of Fjorden is also called the northern ocean, which implies there's an ocean in another direction as well.I'm going to have to post my chasm theory at some point, but I think one of the major problems with Edans land is that it's actually split by the chasm. Kinda obnoxious to go around, and if it's really as large as the map implies, I'm not sure they have the technology to bridge it. Also there's mentions of mudslides, I think. All the nice fertile topsoil goes straight into that chasm.
Kiin went to Arelon to plot his next invasion of Teod, but then he fell in love with Daora, so I think she might have talked him out of his plans.
Here's my too thoughts on fewer Seons. One is that it's stated in the book that many people, like Roial, have Seons still, but they're left at home now, due to their association with Elantris. The other idea is more speculative. If Splintering isn't permanent, could the Splinters that are Seons be beginning to reform Devotion?
I also like how you mention Kaladin fan-art, the one page we actually have a canonical image for:P
When did we find out that people live in Shadesmar?
Great job guys, as always you made me laugh

Woah, Demoux did not appear in Elantris. It's set centuries before Mistborn. I've never seen anything anywhere that hints at that.

Haha loved it you guys. If they make an Elantris movie, I can't imagine the sound of the Reod could be done better then that

A couple quick answers to some questions you guys brought up:
1. One likely reason that the Elantrians turn foul is that they have a bad Aon constantly acting on them. The same exact thing happened to Seala, Dilaf’s wife. Raoden says otherwise, but I think he's wrong in this situation. Although you do get into complex territory when you remember that the Shaod is an effect of Elantris. I strongly agree with Mi'ch that Elantrians have a constant connection to the Dor.
2. In my opinion Seons aren’t screwed up by the Shaod because they aren’t drawing power through that Aon. It’s a discreet bit of spiritual energy, largely independent from the other Seons, except for it’s intent. As Brandon said during the Q&A, if a Seon now tried to “actualize” their Aon (sacrifice their life to use their Aon) it wouldn’t work right.
3. I think the wounded boy is healed when the city is restored, just like how Raoden’s head injury and gut wound are healed, as you so rightly said. Aiden also gets his autism cured.
4. Raoden doesn’t hate his father too much because a part of him still sees his dad as the hero he thought he was when Iadon was a merchant and Raoden was a boy.
"Yet, when news of his father's demise actually came, Raoden found his
emotions traitorously melancholy. His heart wanted to forget the Iadon of the
Iast five years, instead remembering the Iadon of Raoden's childhood. His
father had been the most successful merchant in all of Arelon-respected by his
countrymen and loved by his son. He had seemed a man of honor and of strength.
Part of Raoden would always be that child who saw his father as the greatest
of heroes."
5. The reason Hrathen doesn't recognize Dilaf is that he had his shape molded and twisted into the form of an Arelene before he infiltrated Arelon, so he looks nothing like how he did when Hrathen knew him previously.
6. I don't think Forgery can be the original plan for how Galladon functions on Roshar because TWoK was published before Brandon developed Forgery as a system.
Loved the podcast, keep them coming guys

Peter said on Amazon that the ebook should be released around November 12th, and that Brandon will be doing the same type of deal he did with Legion. If you buy an actual copy of The Emperor's Soul, then you'll get a free ebook copy to boot.

I love it. This has just ratcheted up the anticipation about another dozen notches. Interesting terminology in there about soulstamps and soulstone. Possible tie to the burning rocks? That's probably just coal though, or a similar substance. Anyway super-duper excited!!!

I love you guys too! Good thing I'm back to keep you all lazy

I can't thank you enough for squashing the "third Shard on Sel" idea. Isn't there a possibility that Shadesmar is just one huge plain, and if you wandered over to the Expanse of the Densities you'd find the inverse of whatever world that place represents?

I somehow missed episode 0, you guys are too funny! Your Highprincess question will be added.

Short new interview from a guy who had the opportunity to see a small sample of the gameplay at E3. It sounds promising! You can find it here

Do you mean how do we know that Demoux is there, or how do we know that Demoux is the Thinker and not Blunt? The answer to the first one is that Brandon has confirmed that Demoux appears in that scene. The answer to the second one is that the Thinker has a big old scar on his head, just like Demoux.
As for Harmony changing Allomancy we can't really draw conclusions on it, Brandon has RAFO'd every one, including how Snapping has changed. However, I really don't think that him reverting Allomancy would change the people who were malatium and atium Mistings. There would be no new ones born certainly, but what Allomantic power you have is hardwired into your sDNA, so I don't think that's going to change. There is presumably a lerasium alloy that can make Seers so atium Mistings are still possible, just not born. I don't think there's any need to change it, unless you can provide fairly conclusive evidence that his Spiritweb was actually changed by Sazed, I think I'll leave it as is.

It might be, could you give me a page number on that?

Feel free to point out typos, although for a bizarre unknown reason, we can't figure out how to give me editing powers on articles. So I can post things, buy not change them. xD
