    The flashes changed. It was no longer men whose powers she took - she saw those she forced to follow her. The doppelgangers of Aventine, Jar Man, Exol, even Elan, others she couldn't quite place. She'd caused them some sort of debt to her, and forced them to join her. If they pushed back against her, she'd punish them. Now, Rue understood why DG Aventine was mute. DG Rue had cut off her tongue. "Who do you think you are?" DG Rue said through the connection. The flashes stopped, and Rue fell over backwards.

    DG Nameless leaned in to TAAron. "Why is she grinning like that?" he whispered.

    It was like she was seeing many memories at once. Just flashes of many people, all of them men, before her, powerless for the first time in a long time. This other Rue had been hard at work doing the tasks of a red. Despite being... well, herself, Rue felt a pang of guilt when DG Nameless appeared before her.

    "I... I don't think so." As if on cue, Rue started to feel an immense pain in her head.

    "I mean... It would make sense for you to be able to," DG Nameless said. "I'm not trying to get my... I guess my 'other self's' memories, so maybe it'll just... happen?" @Ookla the Believer

    "Great, now all our heads are gonna hurt," an unfamiliar voice said from the walls. (One line character who doesn't matter anymore)

    "Wait, wait, wait- alternate dimensions?" the first man said.

    "Y-yeah, just..." He stopped for a moment. "It's like I have a bunch of memories going through my head at once - they're mine, but they aren't... mine."

    DG Nameless's breathing began to even out, and he seemed to calm down.

    "This has been happening somewhat recently with him," the first man said. "We can never get him to talk about it to us, though."

    "Yeah..." He shook his head almost violently for a moment. He fell to the ground and collapsed holding his head.

    Another figure squeezed out of a crevasse in the wall. After he popped out, with a look of concentration and near recognition, DG Nameless removed his mask.

    "Guys, I think they're telling the truth," a familiar voice said from within the walls. "And how could you know that?" a different voice asked. "I just... I have this feeling."

    "Oh, so that's how it is?" he turned to Rue. "Weaken us and just forget about us, huh."

    "Oh, please. Don't play dumb."

    "Well, why else would you two be together if you're not on a battlefield?"

    The figure removed his mask, and he looked confused. He looked back and forth between Rue and TAAron for a while, and he eventually asked, "So... which one of you is the prisoner here?"

    A figure with a tribal mask emerged from one of the cracks. "I would think you would know who we are better than we'd like."

    The people in the cracks finally stopped trying to shoot her, figuring out that with her air shield they wouldn't be able to hit her.

    Even if they'd had something, more figures stood at the top and shot down at Rue.
