She made grabby hands.

“Wha’s tha’?"

She said the same thing, but the carpet muffled it again. There was a grunt and a thud. “Th’carp’t’s fluffy."

She said something but it was muffled by the carpet.

She crawled onto the carpet, onto which she plopped down, limbs spread out in an X with her face buried in it.

Her legs gave out beneath her.

She looked up at him and blinked. “Since when d’y’speak Flablebutt?"

She stood stiffly, though her head looked straight down at the shards.

“[Flip]."

She, however, was wasted. She flicked the glass.

She poked the now-empty glass and analyzed it like it contained the secrets of the universe.

She shrugged and made a face like “I got nothing."

“[Flip] yeah."

She smirked like she’d tricked him and tipped the drink up again, taking several big gulps and finishing what was left. Whatever she’d made had been extremely strong.

“Y’didn’ suffer, tho’."

“’S more fun’n remember’n ev’rythin."

“Y'should try it s’mtime,” she slurred.

She leaned against the wall as she drank, already drifting from sobriety.

She took another swig. She could feel her mind getting blurry.

“Why would you drink if you don’t want to forget?"

“Sounds useless,” she remarked.

“What is…?"

She eyed him while he put it in.

She finished and started drinking it.

She put together something that definitely had alcohol in it.
