    “You gave us a heads up. That gave us time to prepare.” ~~~ Hiding in a corner in the small basement room, Marewill sat curled on the floor with her sister in her lap. Lily had buried her face in Mare’s chest and had started to cry. Mare rubbed her back and kissed her head. “It’s okay,” she whispered. “I got you.”

    Lily took a step backward, tears starting to form. Fortunately, Mark had been heard throughout the house. Rashi grabbed the young girl’s wrist and pulled her down to the basement. The rest of Tinker’s family followed. @Magi There was a banging on the door. Marewill folded the paper, gloves still on, and hid it in her shoe. She opened it and was pushed back at the people flooding in. Her little sister wrapped her arms around her abdomen. “Willy!” She squatted down, putting a hand on Lily’s cheek. “Lily, what’s happening?” ”We’re under attack,” Rashi answered. ~~~ Falr and Milay were ready to help Mark fight.
