  1. “I agree with both statements.” I did get some answers from Gem. But I think I should ask for his permission before I share them with you.
  2. “You know, I’m starting to see why you control ice.”
  3. Ave came over and put a hand on his shoulder, placing Hayden on the floor. To Gem and Elan she said, “TAAron’s going to ask some locals about this.”
  4. She walked through the shop, grabbing the parts she needed.
  5. She met his eyes, her face full of pain. “I just lost my father and Mirth! You expect me to just pretend it didn’t happen? To act like I never cared about them?”
  6. Kazi’bah Zimunea began landing. The crew was low on parts for their S-161 XL, and as their mechanic, it was her responsibility to get them. The ship’s landing gears began to rest on the ground. Jedha. She hadn’t been ecstatic that the parts they needed were here, but it was here or Coruscant. This was far better. Kazi walked out of the shuttle. The crew’s pilot, Jaxel Qyliar, had modified his ship to have a smaller shuttle that could be taken on independent missions. The shuttle is what she’d flown here. Fortunately, the Ardennian had made it possible to fly the shuttle with only two arms, unlike his modifications to the Pathfinder. Jedha bustled around her. She squeezed through the crowd, muttering “excuse me” in basic as she wove through gaps. She got a few dirty looks but nothing too serious. There were a couple looks that made her nervous, and when that happened she put her hand on the blaster on her belt. Seeing her weapon, the looks faded rapidly. Finally she arrived at the shop. Most of the parts here had been scrapped on Bracca, but were still usable and had been salvaged. And since the parts they needed were somewhat uncommon, Qyliar had been hoping that they would find what they needed here. She paused. She sensed a strong presence in the Force to the side of her. She glanced over and, sure enough, there was a Jedi in robes walking in her general direction. She closed her eyes and tried not to panic. There was a temple here, surely this Jedi was just on a walk. There was no way they could have known she was coming. A hand on her shoulder. She jumped, making eye contact with the Jedi. “Are you alright?” he asked. “Y-yeah. Fine. Not used to big cities.” He nodded. “Well, welcome to Jedha.” And that was it. He turned and kept walking. She let out a sigh of relief. She entered the part shop.
  7. “Look, I’ve got a lot on my mind. I need some time,” she said, looking intently at his feet.
  8. Her hand tightened around Aela’s. She took a deep breath.
  9. “All I want is to protect the only person in the world who matters to me now.”
  10. “And that makes me have to be exactly like her?”
  11. “But I’m not Mirth. I could never be her,” she said, more reverent to Mirth than disrespectful to him.
  12. “Was. I have a different job now.”
  13. She shrugged. She was confused. “For what?”
  14. “He’s rhyming.” The hug surprised her, but she gently put her fingertips on Aela’s hand. She didn’t further acknowledge him.
  15. She jumped when Aela touched her and muttered, “I just don’t want you to get hurt.” “I never said you were!”
  16. She stood between him and Aela. @Through The Living Glass
  17. She didn’t seem to care but finally stopped glaring at him.
  18. She glared a little longer and just slightly twisted his emotions. Enough to be noticed and slightly painful but not enough to kill him. @SpiritOfWrath
  19. “Is something wrong?” she asked, not looking away from Intellect.
  20. Her glare intensified and she considered twisting his emotions, but thinking about how that would hurt Aela, she didn’t.
