Kazi’bah Zimunea began landing. The crew was low on parts for their S-161 XL, and as their mechanic, it was her responsibility to get them.
The ship’s landing gears began to rest on the ground. Jedha. She hadn’t been ecstatic that the parts they needed were here, but it was here or Coruscant. This was far better.
Kazi walked out of the shuttle. The crew’s pilot, Jaxel Qyliar, had modified his ship to have a smaller shuttle that could be taken on independent missions. The shuttle is what she’d flown here. Fortunately, the Ardennian had made it possible to fly the shuttle with only two arms, unlike his modifications to the Pathfinder.
Jedha bustled around her. She squeezed through the crowd, muttering “excuse me” in basic as she wove through gaps. She got a few dirty looks but nothing too serious. There were a couple looks that made her nervous, and when that happened she put her hand on the blaster on her belt. Seeing her weapon, the looks faded rapidly.
Finally she arrived at the shop. Most of the parts here had been scrapped on Bracca, but were still usable and had been salvaged. And since the parts they needed were somewhat uncommon, Qyliar had been hoping that they would find what they needed here.
She paused. She sensed a strong presence in the Force to the side of her. She glanced over and, sure enough, there was a Jedi in robes walking in her general direction.
She closed her eyes and tried not to panic. There was a temple here, surely this Jedi was just on a walk. There was no way they could have known she was coming.
A hand on her shoulder. She jumped, making eye contact with the Jedi. “Are you alright?” he asked.
“Y-yeah. Fine. Not used to big cities.”
He nodded. “Well, welcome to Jedha.”
And that was it. He turned and kept walking.
She let out a sigh of relief. She entered the part shop.
