    She swallowed and breathed through her mouth. Slowly, scaredly, she broke eye contact and looked down, ceding authority to the snake.

    After about ten minutes, she emerged from the bathroom in comfy clothes, her hair still a bit damp. She had detached sleeves over her forearms.

    She nodded and sighed a little, relieved. “Alright. Once Gem’s done, I’ll go in and get cleaned up, we can stay for the night, and in the morning we can tell the others we’re going to keep moving and ask them if they want to come with us.”
