    She knew that. But she couldn’t. She drew her legs to her chest and cried silently, turning her face away from Aela and setting her ear on her knees. The noise was just as small as the others, but her sniffles were slightly louder and more frequent noise.

    She looked at the coin the elf had given her. It was soon, but maybe she should call in that favor while she was still alive to do so.

    She kept watching, painfully aware of any little noise she made - breathing, rustling of her clothes or the bedsheets, the creaking bed. She couldn’t wake up Aela, she had to be tired too.

    She took a little longer to calm down. She closed her eyes slowly. Her arms and chest heated up, and she heard her father’s scream. A splash of blood flew across her face and a head splashed against the ground making a squelching sound. Her muscles kept tensing. “I’m glad you’re okay.” She shook awake. She had no clue how long had passed, but she still felt exhausted. But she couldn’t go back to sleep. She quietly sat up and looked at Aela sleeping peacefully.
