“Okay.” He held her hand and lead her out. Cossie was on the couch crying as Yora hugged her.

“Wait until you have permission to approach me or join my conversations.” She shivered.

The little girl looked at her, then hid her face in the other child’s chest. She growled.

“Because he lied to you.”

“Just because there was less talk doesn’t mean we were done.”

“She’s sad you don’t believe her. The king hurt her very badly when he bought the baby, and you saying he didn’t hurt her heart.”

Her face fell and she walked out of the room, wiping her eyes. Yora looked back and forth between Cossie and Chloey, eventually following Cossie.
