Dang. Get better soon!
-
She jumped over the rock and looked at the three, crouching. “We seem to have some visitors.”
-
Ok There was nothing special about it. She turned, still smiling, and looked him in the eyes.
-
She smiled, and Divine couldn't tell whether it was a response to the black dragon or because she saw him. So he can see them?
-
She held up her front paws, talons full of gems. "There might have been more, but it was too dangerous to look for more." She dropped them on one of her piles and sat in the entrance, within sight of the three humans.
-
She scrambled off Liina and hid behind a rock. Vellelu landed. She absolutely smelled the hiding humans, but she'd let them rest in fear a little longer.
-
Before she could respond, they heard wings beating overhead. She looked up and froze; another dragon!

Aventine sighed. "Gem, can I talk to you please?" He got out of the bed and followed her into the bathroom with his arms crossed. Aventine's voice was quiet, and Lundyn couldn't hear the words she was saying. "Gem, please tell me what's wrong." "Nothing." She put a hand on his cheek. "Gem, please-" "Nothing's wrong, Mom." "Gem.. Maybe I've only known you for a few days. Maybe I'm not your mother by birth. But you are my son, and I can tell when something is wrong. I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on." He stared at her and didn't answer. "Gem..." "I don't want you to love me less," he said quickly. She blinked. "What do you mean?" "There's another kid in the picture now. If you take care of her too you'll have less time for me and you'll love me less." She shook her head and hugged him. "Gem, you are my son. I am always going to love you; if anything, I'll love you more than I already do. Just because I take care of other kids too doesn't mean I don't love you, and I will never stop loving you." He hesitated, then melted into her and hugged her tightly. "So, please be nice to her? I'm not replacing you, I could never do that. She probably doesn't understand why you treated her like that." ".. yeah, okay." She smiled, taking his head in her hands and kissing his hair. "Thank you, Gem. I love you." "I.. I love you too, Mom." She nodded and the two returned to the room. Gem looked at Lundyn.- 2256 replies
