  4. She nodded. “BD-5 will take you to my ship when you’re ready.” The droid beep booped.
  5. She whistled a few short tones, and a small droid scampered over. “Do what you have to. Oh!” She dug through her bag for a moment, angling it so he could see. She would be okay if he didn’t believe her wind chime story. “Take this comm, just in case.” She tossed it over the short distance.
  6. A split second passed before she got her confirmation. Her eyes followed his hand as he placed it. There was an unnatural bulge there. Well, at least it was someone friendly who’d noticed. “I don’t see why not.”
  7. She nodded. “Hopefully, selling enough of these to refuel my ship.”
  8. She showed him a few blankets, a few of solid color and others with slightly intricate patterns. “If you need somewhere, I could probably use someone on my crew. It’s just me and some droids, currently.”
  9. A whisper here, too. She sensed it. “No intrusion at all, friend. Feel free to browse. The simpler patterns are this way.” She motioned toward one half of her merchandise.

  13. She saw the coin. Somehow. She probably shouldn’t have been able to. She went through her crate and pulled out a simple solid-colored blanket made of muunyak wool, handing it over. “No charge.”
  14. She nodded sadly and turned to someone else, who considered making a purchase but ultimately didn’t.
