    K I'm sure y'all have heard the theory that Rumi's voice breaks because she needed to give it rest

    And the movie establishes pretty strongly that it's her shame

    But what if

    What if it's because she's an alto trying to sing a soprano part? Her voice only breaks on the really high notes in Golden, girl it's just out of yo range

    Also maybe part of her shame is being the female lead in a movie who's not a soprano

      maybe she was using bad singing techniques to reach the high notes and that's why the demon patterns spread because they knew that the techniques she was using were evil

      maybe also jinu (because he was covered in evil demon patterns) knew all the good singing techniques and that's how he still retained a piece of his soul (even being a demon) and then he taught it to rumi and thats how come she was able to sing at the idol awards
