    her eyes widen. "Seriously?? oh goodness, I'd always worried that being a prossie would make me unable to enroll, but... wow-"

    "i considered it. my parents were against it. oh, and a background check on me would get me thrown out so fast, it wouldn't even be funny."

    She smiles right back. "Of course, Dert. Ladies have to have their secrets, don't they?"

    "Perfect." He walks off into a dark street corner, waiting for someone to pass by.

    "Yeah, we were interesting..." she sighs. "Huh. that's all really interesting. do any of you act as spies of a sort?"

    "You know, like the peacekeeper stuff. like, what do you do? do you do patrols? do you help people? like, what do yall do? my parents never told me about this stuff. They made extra sure to do so when I began hanging out with peacekeeper kids. They don't like people watching them."

    "ooookkkk lets go before i get insulted anymore." he pulls out a dingy looking jacket. "Put this on, please. it'll help you blend in. the humming works as well, thankfully, but can you just make it sound like nonsense? if you can't do that, maybe just do like some old nursery rhymes or something."

    Kandy basically bounced through the hallways. She likely got a lot of the peacekeepers to look at her, grinning and silly looking as she was. "So, how does all this stuff work?"

    "Depends. if the guard is a guy, it'll be easy. otherwise, ill be requesting some money from your family."

    "Of course, Aunty. I would love to!" she gives a grin and turns to follow dert.
