Erin grew tense as more people just seemed to appear out of nowhere. They wished they still had her powers. Though on the other hand, it was best that they didn't. They had been able to use them while they were being consumed by a magical sickness, and now that they were cured, the magic was locked away inside them. "He just told us that he showed up here unintentionally. His name is Arranis, I think?"

"That's Mike. You can trust him."

"I'm Erin." The one with green eyes and jet-black hair briefly held up their hand in greeting. "Who are you? How did you end up here?"

Erin was visibly relieved.

Erin turned around and gaped. "Who... Why?" Erin nodded, moving to look at the fallen person. "Mike is. Quick, she must be dying! Help her!"

"Yeah." They took a last look at the freezing river, then walked with him back toward the town.

"I'm hungry. You?"

She nodded with a slight smile. "We saved each other's."

"Oh. Well, I meant something I would also know. So I can be sure."

"Can you tell me something that he wouldn't know? For peace of mind, I guess?"

They pulled away slightly. "I... I just need a bit of time. I'm really sorry."

"...Do you need anything?"

She didn't yet take his hand again. "What about you? Are you okay?"

Erin looked uncertainly at him, letting their hand drop from his. "How can I know that you're you? Or that he won't come back and do it again?"

"...I guess so. There was a fire at the inn we were at, and he used ice powers to get out. But he didn't really seem to care if I followed him."

"You... Your brother, I guess, was impersonating you. And I knew something was wrong, so I went back to the river where I think it started happening, and I saw you under the water, barely."

"Not really," they said quietly.

They let him pull them. "...I'm Erin." @Scars of Hathsin

Erin glanced at Mike, feeling uncomfortable between this person and Mike himself, who had been an impostor for an uncertain amount of time. @Experience

"You seem pretty calm for that... Why do you want to know our names?"

"You just appeared involuntarily?"

"You don't know why you're here?"

Erin took a step forward, reaching out to touch Astra. Unusually, she was able to, giving the spren a light poke.

Erin stepped to Mike's side, taking his hand. "Why do you want to know? Where did you come from?"
