  1. TAAron Pushed himself through the darkness, carefully grabbing the rabbit and coming out the other side. "What happened? Why are you up here?"
  2. From a while away, TAAon saw the tormented Shark. Oh, no. Why is he here? TAAron ran to him, making to carry him away from the darkness. @The Wandering Wizard
  3. "No, I don't think I could possibly get hot enough to melt metal without killing myself. And even if I could, I can't exactly throw myself onto a metal tiger that wants to kill me to heat it up."
  4. "Well, the tigers are made of some sort of metal. There's liquid metal. Maybe they can be melted?"
  5. "If they can, I have no idea how. But I see a few pools of liquid metal over by..." His voice caught. "So that's a good sign."
  6. "...Yes." TAAron held out a hand with several zinc rings already on it. "You keep those. You'll probably need them."
  7. "Lerasium mistborn. And a Sparker via hemalurgy."
  8. "I... no. They're controlled by a very powerful deity named Kaos, if that helps at all."
  9. "You don't have to. If you only have a bit of physical attribute stored up, you probably aren't really prepared to fight... whatever this is."
  10. "Well, you might as well go down and get it. No reason to stay up here."
  11. "I don't know what's happening, exactly. Look, this is a bad time. The whole clinic is pretty much coming down as we speak. What kind of Feruchemist are you?"
  12. "No, it's real... excuse me, please." TAAron stepped to the side, and threw up. Then he walked back over to Ati. "Sorry. I think I'm in shock. Uh, two of my friends are sort of... dead in front of me."
  13. TAAron ran up behind him. "Who are you? What is... oh." Wynn, dead. Lerac, dead. Chaos everywhere. Kaos everywhere. He stumbled, flared pewter feeling like a sole point of reference for him to cling to to keep from falling over. How did it all fall apart so fast?
  14. I wish I could stop all this trying to hide

Not from myself, but the people outside.

I wonder sometimes if I'm up to the task

of if I'll just wait for somebody to ask.

I don't understand it, it doesn't make sense

Why these thoughts that I'm having don't feel too immense

When I might be in balance on a place far up high

To stop or to jump or to cry or to die.

And I don't want to bother, but still here I lay

Writing poems and bothering you all each day

With problems I haven't yet started to solve,

For I clearly have little in way of resolve.

So I should just leave so I'm not worrying

All these people who stop and who read all these things.

Just kidding, I'll stay, because I have the notion

That I must tell you all of these awful emotions.

If this were the last time that I said hello,

How long would it take for somebody to know?

How many hours would have to creep past

For them to realize that this day was my last?

    I'm sorry.

Thank you all for the kind messages.

I have no intention of doing anything yet. The poem is more of a combination of existential musing and worries I have about what might happen in the future, and are beginning to happen now,

And it's those kinds of worries that you all have that make me feel guilty about sharing this.

Don't feel guilty. Please, don't feel guilty. Don't feel guilty for making me say don't feel guilty because you said I don't want to make you feel guilty. I'll stop now. But seriously. It makes me, and I'm sure people on the Shard as a whole, so much happier knowing that you trust us to listen to the things you share and that we can try to help.

  15. Death nodded to her. "Indeed. You will see each other again." As Wynn stepped through the portal, he turned to a confused Lerac. "You and I need to talk." Clinic: Roof (A few moments earlier) "Shark," Lerac whispered softly. "I'm sorry." He exhaled, and the light went out from his eyes. The dagger in his hand vanished in a burst of flame.
  16. Slowly, he hugged her back. "I killed you. And now I'll never see you again."
  17. The Underworld "You're really surprised? I deal with millions of souls every day. Now, are you going to answer my question?"
  18. Lerac shuddered as he felt the corruption enter him. He began to whisper something inaudible.
  19. Lerac's fiery eyes burned brighter for just a moment. "She lives."
