    It stepped towards them carefully, looking... curious, maybe.

    It finished crawling out of the fissure and stood up, but did not do anything further. It was very small, like the skeleton of a child. It's skull was cracked. It did not respond.

    A skeletal hand emerged, grasping for a handhold. It began pulling the rest of the skeleton behind it.

    Suddenly, there was a strange rumbling sound nearby. With a loud crack, the ground opened up about ten feet away, creating a small fissure just wide enough for an average person to crawl through.
