"I don't know. I guess... this way." Erin started off to the left. They had gone only a few yards when they plunged through the snow.

"I don't know, a bridge?"

"Maybe there's something to cross it?"

"No, it isn't. How should we get across?"

It cracked beneath his foot.

"Okay..." They looked worried.

"What if you can't get out? How long could your healing last?"

"That's true... how should we test it?"

Erin shrugged, then made to walk across it.

"I guess so." Ahead of them, cutting through the trail, was a frozen river.

They just kept walking, hand in his.

Erin rolled their eyes. "I guess I can't really challenge you on that yet, since I still haven't seen myself."

"I'm sure you've seen many significantly better-looking people out there."

"Oh, please. That seems unlikely."

They laughed. "Maybe I'd prefer to be called gorgeous and handsome, like you."
