    TAAron paused, and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to force you. If you want to talk about it, you can. I just don't think you should keep everything bottled up."

    "Okay." He paused. "Is that the problem? Being here is bothering you?"

    "I didn't say I understand your pain. I'm saying it makes sense, and it's okay if you don't consider me a friend, yet or ever."

    "That's okay. After everything you've been through, I understand that it's hard to trust people."

    They closed their eyes, breathing slow and deep. Something felt like it was nagging at them. The white eyes, maybe. Surely it was fine, though.
