    Expressionless save for an odd intensity, he offered a hand to the wrist that wasn't broken.

    TAAron followed her, looking relieved now that she was healed. "Do you think we can get ahold of the clothing we'll need for the ball here?"

    "Would you like me to take you to a hospital?"

    "I'm not even watching you." He sighed and turned to her. "Do you urgently need anything?"

    "Then I'll stay for now."

    "When you say so, I suppose."

    "I'm going to wait until you're fit to be alone," he said curtly.

    "Saying what?"

    Carsten sighed and then just stood there, keeping an eye out for any more attackers and making sure the once he had defeated stayed down.

    Carsten casually stepped forward, moving under past the man's expected are of attack and throwing off his timing. Carsten sliced the dagger along the man's arm.

    Carsten sighed, turning around to face the next person.

    "Will you be alright on your own?"

    He crouched down next to her. "I don't know why I helped you, Shadow."

    Carsten shoved the attacker to side, and looked down at her. "And you called me a 'mere mortal.'"

    Carsten cursed station, watching from nearby. He ran into the alley, and sliced the attacker's back with the tip of his dagger.

    There was no answer from the alleyway.

    The man who had been strangling her was nowhere to be seen.

    Carsten dragged the man away, getting out of the alley. He would still, apparently, rather not be seen.

    Carsten cursed and ran in, tearing the man off of her and throwing him to the ground.

    Carsten began to get closer, but didn't involve himself yet.

    He just watched and waited.
