  1. "Oh. Right." No! No. I just... Yeah, basically.
  2. Dude? What dude? The guy at the caravan? She didn't answer the next question, but her mind whispered in affirmation. Livetha informed him mentally that she was down at the caravan through the portal, so he should just come with Beosta.
  3. A shiver ran down her spine. How did you know?
  4. She jumped. Oh. The woman from the city called herself that.
  5. "A Knotter," he said impatiently. "They tie things up, like Loose Ends. Do you have any more money?"
  6. He exhaled. Kay. See? You're just going irsjtnjing crazy. Nothing to worry about. Let's just go find that man and give him the report.
  7. The man didn't know what to think. "I'm sorry, what?"
  8. "Ah. I don't suppose she's a Knotter?" He sat back. "That might explain the... nature."
  9. He debated with himself for a moment. After all, he was not a cheap man. "Yes. Goodness, this is intriguing." He peered closer at Bacon's replica. "Gracious. Where is this Loose End now?" Beosta glanced around for Livetha. "Where'd she go?"
  10. "I suppose your initial deposit was fairly weighty," he admitted grudgingly. "This item is a Loose Thread. In basic terms, it's a soul."
  11. The man scrambled back and dashed away from the forest, and, hopefully, away from that irsjtnjing voice.
  12. He jumped, then looked around. Who the irsjtnj had said that?
  13. He pulled out a tiny paintbrush and with his strokes created an incredibly realistic likeness (in color). Up until now, they'd seen the sphere as cloudy. The sphere that the man drew contained the face of a boy shining through (for though he couldn't be younger than 20, a boy he could not but be called). He was sleeping peacefully, shaggy blond hair splayed as if over a pillow. His facial features faintly-- very faintly-- resembled Shoe's. @Through The Living Glass
  14. I don't believe any of these people pose any kind of a threat. She leaned back against the wall, satisfied.
  15. The man reached for his (pistol if it's the right time period) and crouched lower. Looks like it'll come to fighting.
  16. @SpiritOfWrath "Hmm," was all she said.
  17. The man accepted it. "Yes, this will do. Have you any parchment?"
