  1. I appreciate your take on the WoT adaption (and possibly adaptions in general?) - in particular that you choose to see some good in it as it might motivate people to read the books. I think this is an often overlooked aspect of adaptations. Anyway, I am happy to tell you that I am among those who somehow never came around to reading WoT (it is quite an intimidating series to start...) but decided to pick it up after watching the amazon adaption! Thus, I can provide you with a quick experience report regarding your thoughts on whether WoT might feel out-of-fashion-ish in terms of writing (that's what you wondered wasn't it?). For context, I finished the Eye of the World and am like 200 pages into The Great Hunt by now and I can tell you I already love Jordans prose and overall story architecture! I feel like it is very much up to date both style-wise and regarding its structure! I can see why some WoT fans would be unhappy with amazons adaption (I, too, like the books way more already) but I am thankful to have been reminded and hyped up enough by it to actually take the leap and get into the book series!

That's fantastic, genuinely makes me happy that the adaption is getting more people into WoT. One of my favourite series, but since I first read it when I was very young I wondered if I might be biased when it comes to how Jordan is viewed by a modern audience. Appreciate your taking the time to tell me this!
