I got implied to be a pervert today?Storytime!

So today me and my mom went out clothes shopping, like yk, normal humans do.

So we went to a women's clothing store, I helped my mom pick out some nice jeans and she went to try them on. Naturally, I sat down in one of the chairs outside the room and pulled out my phone. Yk, like normal people Do.

So then this employee marched up to me and asked something to the effect of "What are you doing here?? Are you waiting for someone??" In this sort of incredulous tone that seemed to imply that such a thing was impossible. I said yes, because duh? Im not like checking my messages?My mom came out then, hearing the commotion and the worker went on saying "If anyone else comes in here, you might make them uncomfortable and you'll need to leave."

Dawg. Genuinely. I get the old idea that all men are peeping Toms and can't control themselves. But be so fr. This is a clothing store. There are stalls. It’s completely reasonable for a teenage boy to be there, on his phone.

But yeah, me and my mom talked about it after and we were both like "She was calling me a pervert, wasn't she??" It's a reasonable psa, but she came on with the grace and subtly of a bull in a China shop. 

My mom said she's gonna call their manager

But anyways! 

I get the whole Bear over Man thing, but maybe remeber that we're also humans! I don't enjoy being treated like i'm a threat to all life. Especially when i'm just going about my day minding my own business.
