Once upon a time, my players went into the forest of a dark and twisted Fey lord, for various plot reasons, as they got closer to the center of the forest I made them make tons of perception checks (just to screw with them) but one of my players rolled 3 nat 20's in a row on perception, so I decided "Screw it, it's a flesh forest" so then I described in horrifying detail how the earth pulsed beneath their feet, and the trees where horrible grasping hands.

Woah, I tried that once (didn't work out). On the topic of rare rolls I once saw Mr. Lucky roll 3 nat 1s on investigation in a row, then since it happened they lost 1 INT
